Most haulage systems have developed over a number of years or been defined by one parameter, which has led to a system that is neither cost effective or efficient.

The relationship between infield requirements, haulage distance, transport system, loading methods, cane reception all have to be taken in to account when analysing a system.

Our Solution
Kaufmann Agricultural Consultants offer a service that will analyse your present system or your required parameters and either make recommendations on where you could make savings and improvements, or cost a range of alternative systems. This includes changing from hand cutting to mechanical harvesting, from trans loading to direct haulage, from stack loading to windrow loading.

Over the last 15 years we have been involved with a number of projects reviewing and rehabilitating cane haulage fleets and in some cases individual units for smaller growers.

We have reviewed systems and come up with solutions ranging from a fleet of direct haulage tractors and trailers, agricultural tractors and trailers with high floatation tyres and various trans-hitching systems to allow single units infield and tandem units on the highways.
